  • Climate Justice Fellowship, NYSERDA: NYSERDA is seeking applications from organizations who wish to host a full-time Climate Justice Fellow for 1 year. NYSERDA will fund the fellow’s salary as well as professional development training/mentoring and/or wrap-around services. Fellows must be members of a priority population. Host organizations must be working to advance climate justice and clean energy priorities for disadvantaged communities Apply by December 27th, 2024
  • Energy Justice Coordinator, UPROSE: The coordinator will lead the organization’s renewable energy development and policy work. This will include coordinating community-based energy planning efforts; the Sunset Park Solar Project -the first community-owned solar cooperative in New York- and the development of community solar in Sunset park; coordinating research into financial and legal models; advocacy for just energy policy and regulatory frameworks; and supporting community-led implementation strategies.
  • Strategy and Outreach Consultant, WE ACT TCTAC: The consultant will support WE ACT and the TCTAC Steering Committee in the creation of a comprehensive outreach strategy, to ensure that all eligible communities and organizations throughout New York and New Jersey – including rural and remote regions – receive access to the services provided by the TCTAC.

The person in this position will do statewide work, and coordinate local and statewide grassroots climate work in 3 regions of upstate New York (Central New York, the Southern Tier and the Capital District).

  • Communications Manager, WE ACT: WE ACT has been selected to host and manage a Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Center (TCTAC) for Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 2. The Communications Manager position will serve as the lead on our TCTAC communications. This position will develop content and communication strategies that promote and highlight the work of the TCTAC. This person will be based in our New York Office and report to the Director of Communications.
  • Organizing Manager, WE ACT: The successful candidate should be dedicated to raising public awareness of environmental justice issues affecting people of color and low-income residents of Northern Manhattan. This position will work as part of WE ACT’s organizing team to increase our membership and achieve grassroots objectives.
  • Government Affairs Manager, WE ACT: This position will be a registered lobbyist and will be responsible in
    developing and executing an impactful and comprehensive government relations and thought leadership strategy on behalf of WE ACT.
  • Action Political Director, Earthjustice: This role is responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, and management of Earthjustice Action’s growing electoral work and other key areas of Earthjustice Action’s program work. Reporting to Earthjustice’s Vice President of Policy and Legislation, the Policy Director will craft and execute a long-term strategic vision for scaling Earthjustice Action’s political influence and electoral impact and will set clear and achievable goals, develop consistent metrics for evaluating performance, and build financial resources and organizational systems to achieve the outcomes we seek.
  • Climate Justice Fellow, The Sabin Center for Climate Change Law: This postdoctoral research scholar will contribute to Center’s work on issues related to climate justice and equity. This is a one-year appointment starting September 2024, with an option for a second year.
